What Story Lint is

Story Lint is a writing-coach tool. You paste your own script, and we analyze its structure, pacing, and adherence to a chosen style — and return suggestive feedback. It is a coaching aid, not professional, legal, or editorial advice, and it does not rewrite your work for you. Feedback is offered as guidance, and you decide what to do with it.

Your content stays yours

You own everything you put into Story Lint. We claim no ownership of your scripts or any content you submit. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store your content, send it to our analysis engine, and display the results back to you — in other words, the permission required to actually run the service for you. We don’t use your content to train AI models, and we don’t sell or share it for marketing.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Story Lint to:

• break the law or infringe someone else’s rights;
• submit content you don’t have the right to submit;
• attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or abuse the service or its limits;
• resell or redistribute the service without our permission.

Your account

You’re responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your sign-in method secure. You must be at least 13 years old to use Story Lint.

Plans and billing

Story Lint offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed through Stripe on a recurring basis (monthly or annual) until canceled. You can change or cancel your plan at any time through the Stripe customer portal linked in your account; cancellation stops future charges and takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Usage limits for each plan are described on our pricing page.

Service availability and disclaimer

Story Lint is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. Analysis is generated in part by an AI model and may be incomplete or imperfect — it’s a tool to inform your judgment, not a guarantee of quality or outcomes. We don’t promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Parker Online Ventures LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Story Lint. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Termination

You can stop using Story Lint and delete your content at any time. We may suspend or end accounts that violate these Terms. You can request full deletion of your account through our contact page.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “last updated” date above. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
